Birthday photo

This week over at www.iheartfaces.com the theme is Happy Birthday or pets. I decided to enter this photo in the Birthday category. I normally don't like to do too much to the photo, but I kept adding different filters in CS4 to this and loved how it turned out. Definitely outside the box for me!

I would really like to hear what others think about this since it is different, please leave me your honest opinion! Thanks!

I think it's a pretty cool effect you ended up with. It looks like a colored pencil piece. Some people pay lots of money to have this done to their images.

i'm not one for painting on photo effects either, but decided this week to step outside the box as well considering my lack of anything birthday great. i was excited to see someone out here with me!

this stuff is so subjective to begin with. so to begin i'd say if you like it, it's a hit.

it is a fun piece, and the only thing that catches my eye is the large block of brown on the clothing. if you could tone that down or change the color to something that compliments the rest? that'd be my only constructive piece of feedback. : )

cool picture! so fun to play around. you left me a comment asking about the coloring in my photo. i actually use lightroom (love it) and I used a preset (kind of like an action) called orange garden...then i just played with the lighting, etc. to suit the photo.
