Where are my posts?
Ok, so I have been crafting up a storm, but I can't post my creations, because a certain person (you know who you are) may see them and they are for her! So I will probably only get maybe a card or a single layout posted about once a week. But I do have a lot of books I am reading so if you are interested in what I am reading, I will be posting my thoughts on the books.
Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
Just finished this book. It rates a 5/5. It is fantastic. I am so excited because it is a series, I can't wait to start the next one! The main character is SpecOpt Thursday Next, a literary detective in England. The catch is England and the world is not how we know it. The New York Times describes this series as Harry Potter for adults, I am not sure I agree with that, because I think Harry Potter is for adults as well, but it is a fun book, that left me wanting more!

Sketch #9
This is my take on the this week's sketch at www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com. I really had fun with this sketch, will definetly use it more! These papers were from the $1 bin at Target...what a great find, I wish I had bought more! The stamp is from stampin up. I left the label blank so that I could customize it later. The second pic is of the inside of the card.
Thank you card
This is a thank you card I made for a friend. She had brought us some home grown tomatoes. I was so excited to finally be able to use this cute tomato paper I had.
Finished match game

Laura's Sketch #8
This card is based on Laura's sketch at http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/. For some reason I had a really tough time with this one. The sketch was not very complex, which left room for a lot of creativity. I just couldn't get it quite right, this was actually my 3rd attempt! But know I am pretty please with it.

Books
Okay so I am going to use my blog as a place for me to keep track of books I have read and what I thought. I had been doing this on index cards but that takes too much room!
First off here is my ranking:
5 - the best, will purchase and read many times!
4- very good book would recommend!
3- good
2- wouldn't recommend
1- couldn't even finish!
Okay here are the books I read in past two weeks:
1. Sister Chicks Down Under by Robin Jones Gunn (3/5)
A series that doesn't have to be read in order. Good Christian read about God's Love.
2. Swapping Lives by Jane Green (1/5)
Two women swap lives to find out if the grass is really greener on the other side. Didn't like the premise of the book, found the storyline unbelievable and could not get into it.
3. The Whitney Chronicles by Judy Baer (4/5)
One woman's quest to find a "fabulous, single, Christian man." A good read about life, faith and getting it right. The main character starts a journal...since i have just do the same it really interesting for me.
4. Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella (4/5)
Love this author. This one is about a women who is 28, has an accident and wakes up in the hospital and can't remember the past 3 years.
5. Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot (3/5)
Cute, quick read. Will probably read more by this author.

birthday card
So I made of a couple these for my mom and Jay's mom for their b-days...they are just 4 days apart. I didn't take a pic of the inside, but I made a multi-layer flower and put in it.
Match Game
Okay so here is one of the projects I have been working on. It is a birthday gift for my friend's little girl. I got the idea off of the cricut message board. I am sorry I didn't get the crafter's name..if I see it again I will add it here. Any way I am pretty pleased with how they turned out. I just have to laminate them and mail them to her!!!
